The much-awaited iPhone 11 is finally here! The entry-level phone was launched in San Francisco as a follow-up to the highly popular iPhone XR released last year. The new phone features a second camera to the back and still has the colorful glass back range that makes it fun, and cheaper than iPhone XR.
Apple released the iPhone 11 alongside 11 Pro and Pro Max. The company improved most of the phone features, especially the camera and lenses, to counter stiff competition from others such as Google Pixel and Samsung Galaxy Note 10.
Apple Phone Release Dates and Price
The price for iPhone 11 starts at $699 while 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max go for $999 and $1,099 respectively. Pre-orders for the three iPhone variations will start from Friday and get shipped from September 20th, 2019.
iPhone 11 Specs and Features
As expected, the California tech company used the new phone to demonstrate it is still the innovation leader in the smartphone market. Here are some of the most notable features and specs of the iPhone 11.
- Apple iPhone Design
The new iPhone 11 is available in Yellow, Purple, White, Black, Green, and Product Red. Its rear is glass and has a lightning connector at the bottom. Note that the 3.5 headphone jack has been dropped from the phone.
The flagship phone is water-resistant with the IP68 rating. This means that if you submerge it in water, it will survive up to a depth of two meters.
- iPhone 11 Camera
Apple put a lot of emphasis on the phone’s camera to deliver a better image and video quality. The new smartphone has a wide camera with a 26mm lens paired with a second one of 12MP with a 120-degree field of view. The company has also returned the Night Mode that turns on automatically. It is pretty similar to Night Sight on Google’s Pixel smartphones.
For iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max, Apple’s work on the camera was remarkable. The two phones feature three rear cameras with four optical zooms; Wide, ultra-wide, telephoto lenses (OIS for wide and telephoto). The tele-sensors are great for atmospheric photos, especially when taking landscape shots. The camera software for the two phones has also been improved and now features the Deep Fusion Feature.
Using the smartphone, you can now shoot 4K resolution videos and make videos in time-lapse. You can also utilize its cinematic stabilization feature to clear off shakiness.
- A13 Bionic Processor
The latest iPhone uses A13 Bionic processor. This is an upgrade from the A12 Bionic that was used in iPhone XR. Apple refers to the A13 Bionic processor as the fastest GPU and CPU in the smartphone niche. Besides, it uses the advanced Neural Engine Machine Learning Accelerators that make it possible to process over one million operations every second. Other specs include:
- The phone runs on iOS 13.
- Enhanced Face ID
- Available in 64GB, 128GB, or 256GB options.
